Welcome to Jeff Pulver’s 140 Characters Conference! (#140conf)

The 140 Characters Conference: Tel Aviv will be taking place on December 6th at the Afeka College of Engineering.

Since the launch of the #140conf events, conferences have taken place in: New York City, Los Angeles and London. During the course of 2009 we have explored the effects of twitter on a wide range of topics including: Celebrity, “The Media”, Advertising, Politics, Music, Education, Public Safety and Public Diplomacy.

The #140conf events provide a platform for the worldwide twitter community to: listen, connect, share and engage with each other, while collectively exploring the effects of the emerging real-time internet on business.

#140conf: Tel Aviv will have a wider scope than the previous #140conf events.

The day will start with a “Breakfast with Jeff Pulver and Friends” followed by an all-day conference.

During the course of the day we will be taking a look at “The State of NOW” with a specific focus on three topic areas:

- twitter
- Facebook
- The emerging Real-Time Internet

The format of #140conf Tel Aviv will follow in the style of past #140conf events. You can expect most of the individual talks to be 10 minutes; “Featured” talks to be 15 minutes and for the panel discussions to run 20 minutes.

The take aways from this event will provide the attending delegates knowledge, perspectives and insights of what the emerging real-tme internet will have on business in 2010 and beyond.
